Italian Single Manual

The Italian single manual instrument is based on one by Gregori in John Barnes' collection. It is a typical 18th century Italian harpsichord, although in construction and decoration it is rather simpler than most.

The compass is 53 notes, C to e''', and there are 2 eight foot choirs strung in brass. The case is of the "false inner- outer" type, painted on the outside. The stand and music desk are fairly simple.
